Awesome. The one thing that was missing was I kept waiting for the song to break, then get intense. When that happens I would want some fast video cuts (hands gripping wheel, a shoft out of neutral, tire screeching, smoke shooting out, and then you peel out). Kinda like a bmw short.

Awesome work!!! Looks great.

I think the tracking shots were great. Not overlapping is just a preference. I like to overlap on pans and tracking shots. It's just an artistic choice. The camera is clearly nice. 7d? But the video is boring after the first minute. Nice car and nice video

I'm up in the East Bay and I'd be willing to help out. I've dabbled in cinematography and directing, so I can appreciate projects of patience to get the right shot. Could make for a fun day, just as long as my 1er got some screen time as well (in a different vid of course, since your's shames my modless 1er).

Plus, I'd love to hear the Dinan exhaust in person.

Rodi's comments are true, if taking into account they will make your next vid even better than this one which already great.
the shake is bothering a bit, it could have been smoothed in post though. Motion from apple does a great job smoothing shaky shots, even iMovie can do it!

what camera is this? looks like one of the DSLRs from Canon.

You are on a mac right? The shake you are experiencing is from the flash plugin, not the video itself. Flash video is horrible on the mac.

If you watch it here: (be sure to click "Switch to HTML 5 Player"), it will be silky smooth. At least aside from the few times the tripod moved.

Yea it's a DSLR on a slider. A part of my (new) tripod leg cracked and so it's not as sturdy as it should be.

these DSLRs are giving us an almost cinematographic experience. Got the 5D Mark-II myself and it's fantastic.
FCP is very easy to use. you'll get used to it very soon.
press R on your keyboard and drag your edit to make it shorter or longer, this is one way you could adjust directly in the timeline. press A to get back your pointer to selection tool.
