So fellow Addicts, how many miles did your RFT's last?
13,500 miles for me...
Found it surprising how few miles I got out of my rear tires in comparison to the Hankooks on my previous M3. For my driving style I found this to be a pretty low amount of miles. The car has never done a "donut," never been "drifted," and hasn't had too many hard launches. Will be replacing with normal tires. |

I got 26k on mine - rears are about done and the fronts are still perfect!

about 11k on the rears. @18k, the rears were bald again (bought them with 5k on them), at which point i swapped them all for non-RFTs. the fronts could have survived another few thousand miles at least.
i did a lot of "fun" driving in the mountains.

Mine rears were not bad in terms of treadwear, but they were very messed up in terms of pitting. My rfts were very pitted and scared when I ditched em...its kinda funny because I ditched em before I started driving the car past 4/10s its ability. I ditched em at 7K miles for my lovely PS2s.

I got nearly 30,000 miles out of a set of 050As on a Z4 by rotating once at about 16k. But this was with a lot of highway cruising in a 3,000 lb. car.
The NCT5s on my 128i will be down to 3/32" at 24,000 for the rears and about 50k for the fronts. Having only 200 ft. lb. of torque seems to be beneficial for tire life. Tom |

They do them for planes, trucks and buses - why not RFT's? I see a huge potential market - not to mention keeping the earth greener by not throwing out all those old tire carcasses.

Lester, I like your humor. I also like your photoshop skills as demonstrated in a previous "creamsicle" 135. Nicely done....

....13,900 miles and the rears are cupping and pretty much done. they wouldn't be safe for the first month of the rainy season. The fronts could probably handle the rain for a few months. Hankook Ventus V12 should be in next week.

Im at 12600mi and the rears are getting down there. Front are still like new. Wet traction goes first on these tires. Dry traction is still pretty good but wet...not so good.

15k miles and I am at the wear bars on the rears. Front still have about ½ the tread left. I had a couple of track days and a few drift sessions on the tires.

I would have liked this thread a lot more if it was how many miles did your RFTs last and what setup did you switch to.

my Zed made it 20k and were at 6/32 front and 5/32 rear. granted the last month i probably scrubbed off at least 1/32 before my lease turn in. those were the RE050A...with wider contact patches and a few hundred pounds less. with that said, i expect about 20-30 out of my Dunlops due to the harder compond...but a lot more power and torque.

Mine are going strong at 8200mi except for the fact that one is impacted and another has a patch in it =X
But I'm impressed at how well they hold up. Both front and rear looks barely used, except for the aforementioned damage =/ |
