here are the directions for glanz APPLYING GLANZ WAX Once you're car is cleaned and polished, it's time to apply your Einszett Glanz Wax. Because Glanz Wax is unlike any other wax, application differs slightly. 1. Work in a shaded area out of direct sunlight. 2. Work on one area at a time covering two to four square feet. 3. Use an Uber microfiber applicator pad. 4. Pour a small amount of Glanz Wax on your applicator and wipe it on the surface of your car. Since it applies in liquid form, a small amount will cover a very large area. So be cautious and don't pour too much. 5. Treat one section of your car at a time. Do not allow Glanz Wax to dry for more than a minute or so. After 30-60 seconds of hazing, Glanz Wax will transform from its liquid form into a solid wax. When this happens, use a clean Uber Microfiber Towel to buff to a brilliant shine. Turn your towel frequently. 6. If Glanz Wax gets on your black plastic trim, do not worry. Glanz Wax will not leave a white residue or chalky remains. 7. Continue the process until your entire car is completed. After waxing with Glanz, your car's paint should feel slick and smooth, and be free of streaks and smudges. What do you do if, after all this work, you still have streaks and areas that don't want to buff out perfectly? Park your car in the sun for 10-15 minutes. Let it get warm, but not hot. Next, take it back inside the garage and buff with a slightly damp (dampen with water and wring tightly) Uber Microfiber Towel. The warmth of the car softens the wax, allowing it to buff out to a clear, high gloss. |

Phil,
Thanks for having a question thread. I've been using Zaino products for over a year, and it makes great results. I'm sort of in the market for a different polish only, the 2 step polish from Zaino here in florida, takes hours and hours to cure. I have a Griot's catalog, but cant tell what the difference is between them. Either that or any advice on helping cut down on cure time of polish. Thanks! Josh Tampa, FL

einszett paint (light polish) einszett glanz (polymer wax) would I be using them both every time I wash/wax? Also what do you recommend for an engine bay cleaner? Not something I need to do all the time but for stuff like the occasional show/big meet. |

UdubBadger...
I would recomend you to try Menzerna Power Lock Sealant and then you could apply some carnuba wax over it IF you want too. Not really needed though. By applying wax it just gives the paint a more wetter/deeper shine look. I am really sold on this menz sealer. I bought some three months ago. I applied it twice in one week's time. I made sure to let the car cure by having the car sit out in direct sunlight for a day after it was applied. I wash my car every week. And I live in Germany so it rains here every few days. My car still shines so nicely. And the water still has a nice tight water bead. It looks like I just wash and waxed my car. But I haven't! I really can not give this Menz product higher acclaim. Buy it you won't be sorry. What I do now for my care car routine is this: Wash the car with a good car soap like McGuiars. Then I dry the car well. I then clay the car with Phil's uber clay bar and NoRise solution. After the car has been clayed and dry. I apply the Menzarna and buff off. THEN if I feel like I might use some 100% carnuba wax like Sonax or Mothers. That is it! Really... I would say you could just wash the car and use the Menz sealer and see how you like it. But car care is addictive!!! Here is the link for the Menzarna. http://www.detailersdomain.com/menze...ersealant.aspx Btw... I also like dealing with Phil... bc when I place an order with him, I know that in five or six working days my order will be here in Germany(thru my APO)!! I placed an order with some "other" detail shops on this forum... and it took almost six weeks for my order to arrive! And that was also shiiping thru Priority US mail to my APO. Top marks to Phil and his crew!!! |

I like to use P21S Total Autowash for engines. You definitely want Adam's In and Out Spray! |

Phil, the question was originally asked by tcd223 on page 1, but I would like to know the answer as well.
"Have you stopped using P21S all together in favor of Sonax?" I haven't used either extensively, 2 bottles of P21S and I just bought Sonax and used once, but I feel like I use a less amount of cleaner with the P21S. I need to use my whole bottle of Sonax first to make final judgement though. Funny thing about Sonax is I was able to convince a friend that it was the most gruesome road kill he's evet seen... |

Hey Phil - Big fan of your details, I wish you were out on the West Coast.
Well we just recently moved to an apartment home from a single family home. The biggest sacrifice with my move is I'm giving up my garage and place to wash my car. :-( What suggestions do you have for keeping my car looking good and not destroyed from car washes. I know to stay away from the automated washes. Anything else? Thanks. |

I just moved from an apartment to a house so I know your pain. My best advice to you is stock up on some ONR... especially if you don't have access to a hose. I used a spray bottle system, 1 part ONR, 10 parts H2O in 1 bottle, then full H20 in the other and use a microfiber.
As far as anything other than that, I have no clue but I'm sure you can get some stuff done with spray bottles in substitute of a hose. |

Phil,
What would be better for in between car wash details? I have been using Adam's Detail Spray (and I really like it!) but.... I see this Menzerna Top Inspection spray. Seems like it could also be used as a quick detail spray. |

top inspection is really meant for prepping prior to polishing and after polishing making sure you remove any left over polish.
If you like Adam's Detail Spray I would keep using it, if you are looking for an alternative to try out I would recommend Prima Hydro. |
