Actually, getting that off isn't that hard. To do it right, you remove the large panel on the side of the dash, reach into the large hole, and push in the 2 (or 3?) spring tabs. Then, it lifts right out. But the easier way - which most people do (I think) - is just to pull up on the bottom edge of the vent until it snaps out.

The euro headlight switch for a 135i with xeons, rain sensor and no front fog lights is: 61316932797
The euro switch cost me 67 euros (ohne MwSt 19% German sales tax!) from my local BMW Zentrum. BMW makes SEVERAL headlight switches... so you really need to check with a BMW dealer for the correct switch. rear fogs off... rear fogs ON! Btw - the two stage rear brake lights will still function with the euro switch inplace. Dackel |

I did this mod last year based off this DIY. Thanks! I use it for tailgaters here in USA. Works everytime.

Does the switch also have the button for the front fogs? Seems like they don't have one for the 135i?

You can specify one for the 128i if you want the button for the front fog lights (but since the 135i has none, it won't do anything other than illuminate your dashboard with the green fog light icon).

Is it possible to just illuminate one rear fog (left in US and other left hand drive countries, right on the Great Island)? Either with the DIY mod or the Euro switch. I'd rather have just the one lit. Less confusion for the unknowing.

Dackel, where could I get one of switches for my 128? I see AndyM doesn't sell them anymore, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere.... It would've helped so much this past weekend when the fog was terrible in Va

Should be 61316932796, I paid £77 for the 135i one, so expect it to be around that.
