Desert Drive

Went driving on highway 74 above Palm Desert yesterday evening.

The road:

God I love California. Whether it's winding up the coast, carving up the tan and red desert, or twisting through mountain roads.

In this batch, I didn't spend much time taking photos because it was so beautiful out in the desert at dusk- I wanted to drive!

But I did take a bunch when I first got the car. (see them in a larger format on Flickr).

Great shots! I was really leaning towards Silver for my April E.D. but A.W. is a show stopper! Think your pixs gives me the final push to A.W.

I'm not sure if you live in the US, but yeah- EVERYONE has a silver or graphite colored car. Of course, white (and black) will always be popular as well but I kinda consider them "non" colors. hehe. Next time you walk by a parking lot, see how many silver/graphite colored cars there are. So drab!

One word of warning though- if you go with all white and black interior and plan to get your windows tinted, go a shade lighter than you think you should. The sharp contrast between white and the darkness inside is exaggerated quite a bit. I've actually had a fix-it ticket for my windows. They are not tinted now because of it. (I plan on getting them re-tinted in like a month though.

Ye have been warned!

I've driven between PS and Palm Desert many times in the last ten years, but always in a rental (Course I'd never leave it in Indio--it would get stripped haha)

I would LOVE LOVE to drive my 1 there, but it'll never happen.

Thanks for the pics!
