Magnaflow Cat Back Exhaust

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...ne=all&id=7778

this is one of the best sounding 135i exhausts i have ever heard, i thought the eisenmann would have been louder , the meisterschaft compares, but this just does it for me.

does anyone have it? performance gains?

the 335i puts out 10hp and 15tq. but for most of the bmws that magnaflow put out are around 7 and 7. the only 135i with the magnaflow i seen out was awhile back when dude who sold his proto to someone else on this forum. the exhaust is pretty quiet compared to the other two (resonator), i am just going off what magnaflow did to my car though. after having the catback on my car for six months. the magnaflow it seems to have gotten quieter, but thats a good thing, po po's dont tailgate or make illegal uturns and then run after me anymore. it still retains that great exhaust note. I love my magnaflow even if it doesnt put out the most hp, its the tone that counts for me. should be happy that magnaflow released the exhaust, i got my proto done about a month before the 135i proto was even happened and i dont think the 128i catback will be released any time soon. $800 for a bolt on cat-back is a steal, go for it.

Speaking from past experience Magnaflow isn't always perfect on their fitment. I hand an '03 Focus SVT that I bought a Magnaflow for and I had to "bend" some hangers to make it fit and still it came very close contacting the underside of the car. My question to those of you that already have it is Does it fit well, do you have any pics? PS the sound on the focus would have been good for a 4 banger except I took the CAT off at the same time. So it was a loud annoying tone.

if the exhaust system had a resonator, i would do a resonator delete. i love loud exhaust systems. i thought this system was louder than the eisenmann. i have the race exhaust on my mercedes, and it is reallllllyyyy loud. i was disappointed when i heard the 135i exhaust and it wasnt nearly as loud and as throaty as i had hoped. what is the pricing on the meisterschaft and what gains are they getting on that? person below brought up fitment, were there any troubles with your fitment?

If you want loud exhaust and judge based on the posted sound clips, Magnaflow will not satisfy your taste. Meisterchaft axle back with their Y & mid-pipes (resonator & cat delete) may fit your bill, but it is going to cost you almost $2000+. The alternative is to buy aFe or Berk (muffler delete) and later add the Y-pipes (resonator delete) and mid-pipes (cat delete) from other vendors (like CP-E) to save money. This combination will give you the loudest exhaust you can get from the market. However, no guarrantte that you will like the sound since sound is very subjextive. You just have to hear it yourself. Good luck in your search.

Can you make a few more videos? I would like to see drive by, interior movies! This is the only video available.

I'm looking for a sound similar to that of a VR6 engine

it has to do with the exceptionally narrow angle of the "tilt" of the V...the link gives a lot more info...
