JB3 or not?

Hi guys. I'm such a noob when it comes to these things. I have never modded a car. I have a March 2010 135i and, well, I would like it to be the best it can be for cheap. I was thinking about a JB3 but I know bmw doesn't like that so I'm kinda stuck... I really don't want to risk my warranty but how much of a risk is it really if you have a bt tool? Are there any other options that bmw won't mind and that offers around the same performance gains?
I was also thinking of an intake. . . Will bmw mind that? and what intake?
Thanks a lot guys!

Oh and I run on 95 octane.

JB3 + BT tool is fine for most people. You'll put out more power with the JB3 than with a dinan flash.

And given you are in South Afica, Dinan's alleged NA warranty means nothing to you. Stay with JB3.

But intake-wise, I would recommend a closed intake solution (ala Dinan).

Also, the JB3 can be used for nitrous applications and water/methanol injection setups! It's truly a versatile piece that grows with your modifications for even more power!

Anyone know if a BMW dealer can reject working on a car because they have had Dinan work on the engine??? BMW of Sarasota says they will not honor the Dinan work....

JB3 + Map 5 and no worries. Getting a BT tool is added insurance and very wise. Enjoy.

you're fine with any intake really. just take it out when you go in for service

Magnussen-Moss Law is nice coverage if you want to leave your intake in. But considering thats an American law and you're in SA im not sure >.<.

Just get a JB3, BT tool, and intake, and take themout before service. You just got your car, you've got a whole year until you have to worry about any of that.

took me about an hour and a half to stick in my DCI, but i figure who the hell cares if my service isn't for another 11 months- And in the chance my HPFP blows out I'll just have it towed in with the intake. I don't believe they could legally blame my intake for a faulty part not directly related. Im going to print out the Mag-Moss law and safe keep it in my glovebox if i ever need to show it to some SA who tries to void my warranty.
