Man, how violated you must feel. Make sure that the car is repaired to your complete satisfaction. Check it out with a magnifying glass that all panels are 100% like you want them, and the lights are replaced. I cannot believe that the damage only tallied $4k. Those tail lights are $500 alone. Tires another $600 (mounted).. then paint the whole car...

Suggestion, if more than a third of the panels were damaged, make sure you get a complete paint job. Chances are greater that you'd have differing surfaces if you do not paint the whole thing.

Damn that sucks. At my old university the school had adopted a policy that if you were caught vandalizing they would take an entire gradepoint off your GPA. Needless to say the problem stopped fast.

I feel for you man, when you really like your car it really hurts when it gets damaged.

That is just bad. Sorry to see this, it makes me sick looking at it. Go next door and start asking questions (with a baseball bat) to find who was there. track them down, alert the police.

I was 14 once and had my goped (and my friends) taken from us by older kids trying to beat me up. Few weeks go by after police reports, and they are arrested for killing a lama with a golf club in my area. Turns out they went to my school. I got in on it, they also got robbery added to their crim records. Plus we found our gopeds, sued for $$$ (which I got) for damages. They were fu*ked.

Damn, that absolutely sucks. The idea of posting a reward for information around the complex or campus isn't a bad idea, but hopefully it wouldn't prompt someone to come back and further damage the car. As much as I hate to say it, having a nice car while at college seems to be more of a problem these days with vandalism becoming more rampant.
